KUCHING, Nov 8: Among the 12 new Covid-19 deaths reported by the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today, a 45-year-old man from Miri is the youngest fatality.
With today’s additions, the overall Covid-19 death toll in Sarawak now stands at 1,450 cases.
According to SDMC updates, the man from Miri who passed away on Nov 3, had medical history of high blood pressure and diabetes.
Meanwhile, a 52-year-old man from Betong who passed away on Nov 6, did not have any known record of underlying illnesses or health conditions.
A woman, 67, from Kuching was the only brought-in-dead (BID) case reported today. She had high blood pressure, diabetes and chronic kidney illness.
The remaining nine fatalities ranging in age from 60 to 86 all had medical histories of comorbidities.
Among them was a 60-year-old woman from Sarikei who had thyroid issues and passed away on Nov 6 due to Covid-19.
By division, Kuching and Sibu had the highest number of fatalities with three each, followed by Miri which registered two cases.
Kapit, Sarikei, Betong and Sri Aman all reported one case each. — DayakDaily
