KUCHING, Oct 19: A 45-year-old man and an 88-year-old woman from Kuching who both had no underlying health conditions were among 13 Covid-19 related deaths reported in Sarawak today.
The man is also one of the two brought-in-dead (BID) cases reported in the State today.
The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the deaths, which occurred between Oct 9 and 18, have pushed the State’s death toll to 1,123.
Two casualties were reported on Oct 9, involving an 89-year-old woman from Samarahan which was a BID case, and a 61-year-old man from Bintulu.
Both had suffered from high blood pressure.
One death reported on Oct 13 involved a 72-year-old woman from Miri who had high blood pressure and diabetes.
On Oct 16, five deaths were reported, including the 45-year-old man, while the other four individuals were those aged between 60 to 81 with comorbidities.
The four casualties reported on Oct 17 involved the BID woman and three senior citizens while another death reported yesterday (Oct 18) involved an 86-year-old woman from Miri.
All the deceased shared a common comorbidity which was high blood pressure. — DayakDaily
