KUCHING, Nov 19: A 44-year-old fisherman was found safe after his boat capsized near Tokong Ara Island (islet) located close to Satang Island here today.
According to a report by Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the victim went out to sea on a 15HP-fiber boat at around 5am.
Around 11.45am, the victim made a phone call to a woman identified as Julia, who is the wife of Kampung Sibu Laut village chief, informing her that his boat had capsized near the islet.
The victim then clung to the boat until another boat came to his rescue and brought him ashore. — DayakDaily
