KUCHING, June 18: A 44-year-old driver sustained injuries after the four-wheel drive vehicle he was driving lost control and hit a road divider before it turned turtle along the Pan Borneo Highway at kilometre 71.5, near the Saratok junction, yesterday evening.
Saratok police chief, Deputy Superintendent Mathew Manggie said in a statement, according to public information, the accident occurred at approximately 5.12pm yesterday.
The driver was reportedly heading towards Kuching from Sarikei before he lost control of his car and skidded, hitting the road divider on both sides of the highway, which caused the car to overturn.
“As a result of the accident, the victim suffered injuries and was taken by ambulance to Saratok Hospital for treatment. The case is being investigated under Rule 10 LN 166/59,” he said. – DayakDaily
