KUCHING, Oct 11: The four-lane dual carriageways Jalan Nyabau to Simpang Bakun under the Pan Borneo Sarawak Kick-Off Project (KOP) has been completed and ready to be opened to the public on coming Monday (Oct 14).

Public Works Department (PWD) Sarawak, in a press release today, however informed that some works still needed to be carried out at the beginning and end chainage of the road spanning 43 kilometres.

As such, road users have been advised to follow the traffic management plan and to slow down their vehicles as they approach and drive through the construction zones.

Road users are also reminded to use the P-Turn provided along the road as illegal turning is strictly prohibited.

While the completion of this part of Pan Borneo Sarawak was a dream come true for every Sarawakian, PWD Sarawak urged motorists to drive carefully and reach their destination safely.

Launched in March 2015, the multi billion-ringgit project was slated as the biggest infrastructure development project undertaken by the federal government in Sarawak in 54 years.
