KUCHING, Oct 23: A 42-year-old man was found dead inside a car at the Customs Housing area in Demak Laut this morning (Oct 23).
Kuching District Police Chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the police received a call from a member of the public at about 9.08am, reporting an unconscious person inside a vehicle at the residential area.
A team from Gita Police Station was dispatched to the scene and found the local man unconscious in the car.
He was later pronounced dead by medical personnel from Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) and the body was sent to the hospital’s Forensic Department for a post-mortem.
Initial investigation found no elements of foul play and the case has been classified as a sudden death.
Police urged anyone with information on the incident to contact ASP Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Ali, Gita Police Station Chief, at 019-5131156, or the station at 082-254417, or to approach the nearest police station.
The public is also advised not to speculate on the incident out of respect for the victim’s family. — DayakDaily
