KUCHING, Feb 10: A real estate agent was found dead with facial injuries and both legs broken in the parking lot of an apartment at Jalan Batu Kawa yesterday (Feb 9).
Padawan District Police Chief Superintendent Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said the deceased, 39, was discovered lying face down by a member of the public.
He said the person proceeded to make a police report at about 1.30am on the same day.
“The medical team from the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) later confirmed the victim’s death and that there were no signs of crime nor the discovery of sharp or blunt objects at the scene.
“The body has been taken to the SGH mortuary for further action,” said Abang Zainal Abidin in a statement yesterday (Feb 9).
According to the victim’s wife, when met at the scene of the incident, the victim left their house at 9pm on Wednesday (Feb 8).
The wife said her husband’s whereabouts since that night was unknown to her until she found out about the incident when she saw police at the parking lot of their residence.
Meanwhile, Abang Zainal Abidin said the police are now conducting further investigations, including reviewing the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage at the scene of the incident.
So far, he added, the case is classified as a sudden death report (SDR). — DayakDaily
