KUCHING, Aug 14: A 38-year-old man was rescued from a hilltop temple after suffering a stroke this afternoon.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said in a statement that the Petra Jaya Fire and Rescue Station (BBP Petra Jaya) received a distress call at 4.28pm regarding a medical emergency at Tse Chen Samten Ling Retreat Centre, Jalan FAC Matang here.
Upon arrival, the operation commander PBK I Rahman Abang Deni and his team found the victim, a Chinese man, semi-conscious due to a stroke. He was located at the top of a hill within the temple compound.
Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) personnel stabilised the victim’s condition before firefighters assisted in carrying him down to the temple’s main entrance.
He was later handed over to Ministry of Health ambulance personnel for further treatment.
The operation involved eight firefighters and one Fire Rescue Tender (FRT), and concluded after the victim was safely transferred to medical authorities. — DayakDaily
