KUCHING, Oct 2: A 37-year-old man killed in an accident on Jalan Gaya in Lawas today.
According to a report from Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), after receiving a call regarding the incident at 6.50am, a team of firefighters from Bomba Lawas was despatched to the location.
“The incident involved two four-wheel drive vehicles, and based on the information from a witness, the victim’s vehicle rear ended the other vehicle before crashing unto a tree on the road side, which trapped the victim in the driver’s seat.
“Following that, firefighters then conduct a rescue operation to extricate the victim, who was later confirmed dead by medical personnel from Ministry of Health (MOH) before being handed over to the police,” the report said.
It added that the driver of the other vehicle was unharmed. — DayakDaily
