KUCHING, Sept 7: Thirty-three compounds were issued to individuals over a three-day period for not obeying the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) which was set by the government.

“From Sept 4-6, a total of 33 compounds was issued to 27 men and six women during this Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO),” Kuching District Acting Police Chief Supt Merbin Lisa revealed in a press release.

“Inspections were held at the waterfront area, an entertainment centre at Ang Cheng Ho Road and a car accessories shop at Jalan Song.”

According to Merbin, the police will continue to take action on individuals who failed to obey the SOP and monitoring and inspections will still continue to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

He warned the police will not hesitate to issue compounds for SOP infringements.

He added the public must always wear face masks, distance themselves appropriately among each other and premises must prepare temperature scanners, notebooks and sanitisers. — DayakDaily
