BETONG, April 27: Approximately 300 people here gathered for a ‘healing prayer’ session to pray for renewed strength, healing, recovery and good health on Sunday (April 23).
The event was hosted by Persatuan Pelayanan Kasih Yesus Kuching and took place at the Tan Sri Datuk Amar Stephen Kalong Ningkan Sports Hall here.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the event was the second of its kind, with the first event taking place in July 2022.
It was open to all members of the community in Betong and surrounding areas, regardless of age or health status.
Attendees which also included those with various health issues and in wheelchairs, took part in the session which was led by Tomy Wong and Benny. The event included a praise and worship session, singing, and sharing of God’s words before the main healing prayer session.
Persatuan Pelayanan Kasih Yesus Kuching, led by chairperson Mariana Micheal Ugap, is a Kuching-based non-governmental organisation that carries out various Christian activities.
The association aims to create a welcoming and supportive community that can come together in times of need, providing a space for prayer, reflection, and healing. — DayakDaily
