3 Subis longhouses among 17 localities in Sarawak placed under EMCO

KUCHING, Sept 16: Three longhouses in Subis were among the 17 localities throughout the State placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) starting today.

According to the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), the EMCO for Rh Jilom Anak Engkabang, Rh Mening Anak Jambil, and Rh Gansor Anak Panchen, all in Sungai Sebatuk Niah in Subis, will be effective from today until Sept 30.

In Julau, Rh Sandai in Rantau Nibobg Sengaih Entebai, Rh Divis in Nanga Bekatan, Rh Barak in Sg. Merurun, and Rh James in Ulu Lassi, will also be under EMCO from today until Sept 29.

The two-week EMCO (Sept 16 until Sept 29) also applies to Rh Kevin in Wong Panjai of Lubok Antu, Rh Remang in Sg Pundang of Pakan, and Rh Bala in Ulu Binatang Bintangor of Meradong.

For seven other localities involving Rh Lampun in Sare of Sarikei, Rh Tuntun Anak Raman in Tanjung Baru Meludam of Pusa, Rh Mandau in Lempaong of Betong, Rh Seli in Munggu Tunggal Debak of Betong, Rh Nelson in Ng Buai of Betong, Rh Christopher in Pais of Betong, and Rh Robert Lin in Kedap of Saratok, the lockdown will be enforced for 14 days starting tomorrow (Sept 17) until Sept 30.

Meanwhile, the committee also announced the end of EMCO in 24 localities.

The 11 localities where EMCO ends today comprise Rh Manai in San Panjai of Lubok Antu, Rh Idat in Lubok Subong of Lubok Antu, Rh Tunai in Nanga Bengap of Lubok Antu, Rh Menjat Muping in Semawa Ili Pantu of Sri Aman, Rh Retie in Empadi Undop of Sri Aman, Amgreen Gain Sdn Bhd Plantation of Beluru, Sri Datai Mining Sdn Bhd’s workers’ quarters of Mukah, Rh Edwin Engkulai Anak Jelani in Nanga Belungai of Tatau, Kampung Serpan Laut of Asajaya, Kampung Sampung Gerunggang of Asajaya and Kampung Pusa of Pusa.

For 13 other localities, their EMCO will end tomorrow (Sept 17).

These locations include Lorong 5 and 7 in Taman YTD of Bintulu, Quality Concrete Sdn Bhd’s workers’ quarters of Bintulu, Rh Jakud Anak Jinggut in KM44 along Bintulu-Miri road of Bintulu, a rented room above Can Lead Money Lender shop of Bintulu, second floor of a rented room above Zen Q Desserts in Bintulu, Rh Joshua Manit Anak Buyu in KM38 along the Bintulu-Tatau road of Bintulu, a rented room above Yu Li Fa 8 Enterprise of Bintulu, as well as in Wang Lift Transport Sdh Bhd’s workers quarters in Batu 6 along Bintulu-Miri road of Bintulu.

It also includes Rh Buda Anak Gayah in Sg Selitut along the Tatau-Bintulu road of Tatau, Rh Micheal Junus Akan Rekan in Nanga Tekalit of Tatau, Jendela Padu Estate 3’s workers quarters of Sebauh, and WTK Tubau logging camp’s workers quarters of Sebauh. — DayakDaily
