BAU, Nov 6: Three students sustained minor injuries while three others were unharmed after the van they were travelling in overturned at Jalan Kampung Pangkalan Tebang here this morning.
According to an officer from Bau Health District Office, two of the injured persons were rushed to Krokong Health Clinic around 8.25am.
“The first victim, a 16-year-old boy, suffered an abrasion wound on the left palm (minimal) and pain in the left lower rib area without bruising or shortness of breath. Her vital signs were reported stable.
“The second victim, an 18-year-old boy, had an abrasion wound on the hand and in several other places, as well as a 1cm laceration wound on the forehead. However, the victim refused suturing,” he told DayakDaily via WhatsApp today.
Meanwhile, the third victim, a 16-year-old girl, arrived at Bau Hospital at 8.20am, brought in by a passerby.
“She sustained a soft tissue injury and was discharged later on,” he added.
Around 7.30am this morning, a van carrying SMK Lake students, fell down a roadside slope and overturned at Jalan Kampung Pangkalan Tebang here.
All the victims managed to exit the vehicle with assistance from the public before being taken to Bau Hospital and Krokong Health Clinic, prior to the arrival of the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) team. — DayakDaily
