3 drivers injured following early morning collision in Bintulu

KUCHING, April 28: There was a collision involving three vehicles along Jalan Utama Johari Sunam, Taman Tinggi in Bintulu early this morning (April 28), resulting in minor injuries to three drivers.

According to a statement from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the accident involved a Perodua Axia, a Perodua Viva, and a Toyota Hilux.


“After receiving an emergency call at 2.54am, firefighters from the Bintulu fire station were immediately dispatched to the scene, which was approximately seven kilometres away.

“Upon arrival at the scene, it was discovered that the driver of the Perodua Viva was still stuck in his seat, so extrication work was performed to free him from his vehicle.

“After removing the victim from the vehicle, the victim was handed over to the medical officer of the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM) for further action, and all of the victims were reported to be safe with only minor injuries,” read the statement.

It went on to say that after ensuring that the situation is safe and under control at the location, the firefighters return to the station.
