3 critical patients among Sarawak’s 30 new Covid-19 cases

KUCHING, Dec 19: Sarawak registered 30 new Covid-19 cases today out of which three of them critical (Category 3, 4 and 5).

According to a Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) report, two patients were on ventilator support in Category 5 while one patient was on breathing support in Category 4.

There were also 17 patients with mild symptoms in Category 2 and 10 patients who were asymptomatic in Category 1.


The new cases reported in Sarawak brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases Statewide to 251,997.

Twelve out of 40 districts across the State reported new cases.

Kuching topped the list with 12 cases followed by Miri with four cases, Sibu (3), Samarahan (2) and Kanowit (2).

Lundu, Bintulu, Meradong, Sri Aman, Lawas, Kapit and Bukit Mabong reported one case each.

Districts which reported zero new Covid-19 cases were Serian, Limbang, Subis, Telang Usan, Beluru, Betong, Tanjung Manis, Sarikei, Mukah, Dalat, Saratok, Asajaya, Lubok Antu, Sebauh, Kabong, Belaga, Simunjan, Bau, Selangau, Tebedu, Tatau, Julau, Pakan, Daro, Marudi, Pusa, Matu and Song.
