KUCHING, Sept 21: A 28-year old woman was killed while another motorist was injured in a single vehicle road accident along Jalan MJC Batu Kawah.
The victim, identified as Vronica Agnesia Bong, was confirmed dead at the location by medical personnal from the Ministry of Health (MoH).
According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation center today, they received call regarding the incident at 3.42am and deployed Bomba Batu Lintang to the location.
Based on a report from the operation commander at the location, the incident involved a sedan vehicle which had crashed into a tree.
The driver, who was injured, was extracted by firefighters and transported to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for treatment while the deceased’s body was handed over to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
