27 localities throughout the state enforced with EMCO implementation

KUCHING, Sept 10: A total of 27 localities in Simunjan, Asajaya, Lubok Antu, Sri Aman, Julau, Pakan, Mukah, Tatau, Bintulu and Subis have been placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today, said in Simunjan eight localities would be affected, namely Kampung Baru, Kampung Baru Hilir, Kampung Jalan Giatmara, Kampung Nanas Hulu, Kampung Nanas Hilir, Kampung Sageng Sabal, Kampung Sageng Hulu, Kampung Sageng Tengah, Kampung Sageng Hilir and Kampung Melanjok. The EMCO for these localities starts today (Sept 10) and will last until Sept 23.

The lockdown period from Sept 10 to Sept 23 is also imposed in Kampung Beliong of Asajaya, Rh Gawang in Kaong Ili of Lubok Antu, Rh Shem in Skim Skrang of Lubok Antu, Rh Cherang in Lipang Skrang of Lubok Antu, Rh Meria in Sengalau Undop of Sri Aman, and Rh Langan in Nanga Serau Lijan in Pakan.


This includes five localities in Pakan, namely Rh Ukan in Munggu Linang Ulu Kota, Rh Saban in Sg Ipoh, Rh Awar in Tekaling, Rh Umpang in Tekalong, and Rh Nyuak in Sg Dabai.

As for three localities in Mukah, involving Rh Panjang Aji Anak Buli, Rh Panjang Undum Anak Anchih in Sg Duan, and Rh Panjang Johny Anak Jimbun in Bukit Dinding, the EMCO implementation will start tomorrow (Sept 11) and last until Sept 24.

On the same note, the committee also announced an extension of the EMCO for 14 localities in six districts throughout the State.

For two localities in Betong involving Rh Jembat in Ulu Dit Debak and Rh Manggat in Sg Pelandok, the EMCO is extended for an additional two weeks from today (Sept 10) until Sept 24, while for Kampung Sebiris of Lundu, Kampung Pasir Tengah of Lundu, and Rh Jabu in Ng. Tebat Skrang of Lubok Antu, the extension will start tomorrow (Sept 11) until Sept 24.

In six localities, the EMCO implementation will be extended for one more week; involving the Woodman Kuala Baram Estate Sdn Bha of Marudi, and Rh Jesus Robin Anak Timboo in Sg Gelasah Suai of Subis (from Sept 11 until Sept 17), while for Rh Juan Anak Bedaru in Sg Gelasah Suai of Subis, Rh Maxwell Anak Tambi in Sg Libau along Miri Bintulu road of Subis, Rh Changgai Anak Dali in Sg Saeh Ulu Suai of Subis, and Rh Belilie Anak Lium in Sg Tema Ulu Niah of Subis, the extension will start from Sept 12, until Sept 18.

For three localities, namely Rh Patrick Libau and Rh John Abau, both in Sg Tangap Niah of Subis, together with Rh Manggi in Kampung Menuang of Limbang, the seven days EMCO extension will start on Sept 14, until Sept 20.

Meanwhile, SDMC also announced the end of the EMCO today in 11 localities in Miri, Betong, Simunjan, Lundu, Limbang, Belaga, Sri Aman, Subis and Pakan.

The affected localities are Kuala Baram Estate Sdn Bhd in Kuala Baram of Miri, Belianmas Synergy (TRC Betong)’s workers quarters of Betong, Kampung Belimbing Besi of Simunjan, Kampung Kepayang Berangan of Simunjan, Kampung Kepayan String of Simunjan, Kampung Kepayan Setia Jaya of Simunjan, Kampung Bako 1 and 2, both in Lundu, Rh Sandin in Kampung Merajang in Limbang, Mexajit Sdn Bhd’s workers quarters in KM124 along Bintulu-Bakun road of Belaga, as well as in Kampung Entawa Wong Padong of Sri Aman.

For Rh Aron Anak Libang in Sungai Sebatok Skim Rancangan Sepupok Niah of Subis, Seremas 1 Estate in Sawai Land District KM115 along Miri-Bintulu road of Subis, and Rh Kilat in Sg Engkabang Tugong of Pakan, the EMCO will end tomorrow (Sept 11). — DayakDaily
