250 residents from Tekalit Hulu longhouse, Song receive first dose of vaccine on Thursday

KUCHING, June 18: The Covid-19 immunisation programme being conducted in rural areas throughout the State is well-received by the rural populace, showing the awareness of the importance of the vaccine.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, in Song district, a total of 250 individuals from Tekalit Hulu longhouse received their first dose of the vaccine, which was conducted at Nanga Tekalit Health Clinic, on Thursday.

The vaccine recipients also conveyed their gratitude to the Chief Minister and the State government for their efforts in allocating additional doses of vaccine for Kapit Division.

Meanwhile, in Song District Health Clinic, the Covid-19 vaccination programme conducted by the Mobile Team 2, also saw the attendance of a total of 250 local residents from Batang Rejang Hilir and the surrounding areas in Song.

The vaccination programme in Song District Health Clinic will continue to be provided to the local population, depending on the supply of vaccine received. — DayakDaily
