PPV via outreach programme in Bintangor kicks off this week

KUCHING, June 18: The Covid-19 vaccination centre (PPV) via outreach programme in Bintangor is kicking start its operations this week.

Tanjong Manis MP Yusuf Abdul Wahab said the PPV is set up to target vaccination recipients in longhouse areas such as Muara Payang, Semaring, Mupong and other nearby localities.

During a visit to the PPV yesterday (June 17), he expressed satisfaction with the progress of the PPV setup after a briefing by the Ministry of Health (MOH) staff and the Meradong District Office.


He said the outreach programme is one of the measures by the government to ease vaccination processes for the people in efforts to expedite the immunisation rollout as a whole, according to a news report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas).

Meanwhile, Yusuf also donated RM3,000 for the Village Security and Development Committees (JKKK) of Rh Lawai, Sungai Sian to repair the cooking place.

Also present were Meradong assemblyman Datuk Din Kuong Hiing and Meradong District Officer Badjuri Bidin. — DayakDaily
