KUCHING, June 2: A 24-year-old woman fell to her death from a carpark of a shopping mall in Kuching here yesterday.
Kuching District acting police chief Supt Merbin Lisa said they received a distress call from the public at about 11.14pm yesterday (June 1).
Responding promptly, investigators were rushed to the scene.
According to a statement today, police discovered the woman, a local resident based on her identity card, lying lifeless on the ground upon arrival at the scene.
Paramedics from the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) who were also at the scene confirmed her death.
Preliminary investigations indicate no evidence of criminal activity.
The deceased’s body was sent to the Forensic Department of SGH for an autopsy and the case has been classified as a sudden death. — DayakDaily
