24 localities added to EMCO list

KUCHING, Sept 9: Twenty-four localities in Beluru, Subis, Sarikei, Betong, Saratok, Bintulu and Tatau were added to the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) list.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today, said the 15-day lockdown for two localities in Beluru, involving Rh. Chabu Anak Makun in Sg Lian Atas Bakong and SK Lepong Ajai in Bakong, as well as two localities in Subis namely Rh William Tinggang Anak Mawar in Sg Teleku Manong and Niah Palm Oil Factory in KM76 along Miri-Bintulu road, will start today (Sept 9) and end on Sept 23, 2021.

As for Rh Jalang in Ulu Paoh, Rh Ngabong in Bukit Sebangkoi, Rh Manggang in Sg Empelai Kerubong, Rh Swak in Sg Tekalong, Rh Johnny in Ulu Paoh, Rh Runggah in Nanga Garu, and Rh Sigi in Sg Sentebu, all in Sarikei, the EMCO also starts today (Sept 9) and ends on Sept 22, 2021.


For eight localities in Betong comprising Rh Allen Gimah in Ng Ajau Layar, Rh August in Ban Ulu, Rh Garak in Munggu Menggeris Debak, Rh Inchok in Sabar Debak, Rh Mau in Enteban Ulu, Rh Reselie Ujih in Serundit B, Rh Martin Ngelambong in Ng Nanam Spaoh, and Rh Johnathan in Serian Ili, the lockdown will start tomorrow (Sept 10) and end on Sept 23, 2021.

In Saratok, two localities under lockdown from Sept 10 until Sept 23, 2021, are Rh Douglas Tampang in Wong Limat, and Rh Mudit in Lubok Lidong Kaki Wong, Krian.

In Bintulu, the Taan workers’ quarters, has been under EMCO since Sept 7, and will remain so until Sept 20, 2021.

A rented room above Solidcool Air Conditioners and Refrigeration Sdn Bhd is under EMCO from Sept 8 until Sept 21, 2021. The same period of EMCO enforcement also applies to SK Tatau’s quarters.

SDMC also disclosed the extension of EMCO implemented in four localities in Bintulu, Betong and Lubok Antu.

For one locality in Bintulu, involving Lorong 9 Taman Ytd, the extension starts today (Sept 9) and will goes for another two-weeks until Sept 22, 2021, while two localities in Betong involving Rh. Lembang in Inar Debak and Rh. Legom in Serunggap Debak, including in Rh. Imau in Kampung Tanjung Enkelili of Lubok, the extension will start tomorrow (Sept 10), until Sept 23, 2021.

Meanwhile, SDMC also announced the end of EMCO in 40 localities throughout the state today.

The affected localities are Rh Bishop in Kampung Rapak Gelu Pantu of Sri Aman (Sept 8), Kampung Baru in Kota Samarahan of Samarahan, Kampung Bungey Debak of Betong, Rh William in Buloh Antu of Betong, Rh Robert Walter in Nanga Gayau Debak of Betong, Kampung Opar in Bau, Kampung Serabang in Pusa, a rented room above Bintulu Auto of Bintulu, Lee Global workers’ quarters of Bintulu, Rh Siba Anak Bunsu at Mile 25 of the Bintulu-Miri road in Bintulu, and a rented room above MDS Freshmart in Jalan Sebiew, Bintulu.

EMCO has also ended for 29 localities in Sungai Asap of Belaga, namely SK Batu Keling’s quarters, Rh Lat in Sungai Munau, Uma Lahanan Blok F, SK Long Urun, Rh Pait Awan, Lg Dulit U Dikan (Tr Clement Usang), Rh Dang Lajang, Rh Besi Balan, Kem Putra Mas Urun, Rh Robert Long Urun, Rh Udau Tedong, Rh Jangan Bunyi, Rh Bisie Janea, Rh Ating Tajai, Rh John Ding Kun in Long Air Urun, Rh Labang Uvet, Rh Baya Sipar, Uma Pawa (Tr Eric William Sia), Uma Badeng in Jambatan Urun (Tr Anthory Lerang), Tabika Kemas in Long Urun, Solar SEB’s quarters, as well as in Ladang Sawit Urun 1, 2,3,4,5,6,7, and 8. – DayakDaily.
