KUCHING, Dec 8: The 2026 Sarawak Budget Conference will be held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) from Dec 16–17, serving as a key platform for discourse on fiscal policy, economic priorities, and Sarawak’s long-term development direction.

According to a press release, the conference is organised by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), together with its strategic partners, the Sarawak Centre of Performance Excellence Sdn Bhd (Scope), Leadership Institute of Sarawak Civil Service, and SALIHIN Academy.

The conference’s theme, ‘Empowering People, Advancing Prosperity, Building A Resilient Future’, reflects Sarawak’s commitment to inclusive growth, economic transformation, and long-term resilience in line with the State’s development agenda and Malaysia’s Madani economic framework.

The event features high-level engagements, including a session with the Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, who will outline the aspirations, priorities, and fiscal direction for the Sarawak Budget 2026.

Participants will also witness the launch of the ‘Doing Business in Sarawak’ publication, offering insights on investment opportunities and Sarawak’s economic ecosystem.
