KUCHING, May 24: Only 20 per cent of workers’ capacity is allowed for the public sector under the new stricter Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) standard operating procedures (SOPs) starting tomorrow, May 25 until June 7, 2021.

In announcing this, the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said under the new CMCO SOPs, the remaining 80 per cent of the public sector’s workers are required to work from home (WFH).
“At the same time, the capacity for the private sector is limited to only 60 per cent of the total attendance,” it said in a press statement today.

The statement also noted that the new SOPs do not apply to the frontliners.

Previously, on April 26, 2021, SDMC announced the extension of the CMCO implementation, together with new SOPs that allowed only 30 per cent workers of essential services in the workplace.

Apart from that, the employers are also responsible to reduce the number of employees for essential services not exceeding 30 per cent of the total work force. — DayakDaily
