2 women, 10 men collared in drug raid in Miri

MIRI, March 14: Two women were among 12 people arrested on Tuesday night for alleged involvement in drug-related offences at Lorong 4 Permyjaya here.

Two of those caught during ‘Ops Sarang’, mounted from 5pm to 9pm, are believed to be drug pushers.


Miri deputy police chief Supt Sabri Zainol told DayakDaily that the 12 suspects are aged between 20 and 54.

He said four of them were being investigated under Section 39A (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, six under Section 15(1)(a) of the same Act, and two under Section 12(2), also of the same Act.

Sabri revealed that the raiding team seized illegal substances believed to be syabu weighing 6.06g and with a street value of RM969. — DayakDaily
