Two security men swept away by waterhead found dead

BARAM, Dec 4: A PGA personnel and a security guard who went missing after they were swept away by a waterhead in Camp Layun, Long Lama Baram on Thursday night (Dec 3), during a routine operation were found dead today (Friday).

According to Sarawak police commissioner Datuk Aidi Ismail both bodies were currently at Long Lama clinic.

“Their bodies were found at 3pm today (Friday),” he disclosed when contacted today.


He added a team from Miri General Operation Force (PGA) are on their way to Long Lama clinic to transport the bodies to Miri Hospital.

The mishap occurred around 8pm on Thursday when the duo together with six other personnel were resting near the riverbank before being swept away by the waterhead.

The remaining members of the team immediately carried out a search operation looking for the two victims who went missing following the incident. — DayakDaily
