2 of 4 deaths due to Covid-19 recorded in Sarawak today had no comorbidities

KUCHING, July 2: A 48-year-old Chinese national without comorbidities from Bukit Mabong is one of the four recorded fatalities due to Covid-19 today.

According to the reports by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today, the victim has been traced back to the Putai Cluster in Bukit Mabong as a brought-in-dead case after he died before arriving at Kapit Hospital.


He was the 415th death due to Covid-19 as of today, while two were reported in Sibu and another in Kuching.

Fatality number 416, a 78-year-old man from Kuching also had no medical histories of comorbidities.

The other two deaths in Sibu, the 414th and 417th, suffered from hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, heart disease and chronic kidney disease.

One was an 80-year-old woman who tested positive for Covid-19 on June 9 while the other involved a 55-year-old man who tested positive for the virus on June 20.

With four new deaths today, the Covid-19 death tally in Sarawak now stands at 417. — DayakDaily
