KUCHING, July 30: Two men perished after their motorcycle crashed into a tree along Jalan Sultan Tengah.
Kuching District police chief Supt Merbin Lisa in a statement today said the incident occurred at 6am today.
“An investigation found that the victims were heading towards Santubong from Kampung Pasir Pandak before losing control of their motorcycle and crashing into a tree along the roadside.
“Both victims, aged 39 and 48-years-old respectively, were confirmed dead at the location by paramedics from Sarawak General Hospital (SGH),” he said.
Merbin said that the bodies were later taken to SGH’s forensics department for postmortems.
He added that the case is investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
