KUCHING, June 17: Two men in their 40s believed to be from Sibu were shot dead in front of the lobby of a shopping complex at Jalan Loke Yew in Cheras early this morning.
According to a report from Berita Harian, the incident took place at 12.15am, whereby the victims were walking towards their car parked in the shopping complex’s compound.
Witnesses reported that a group of men wearing helmets ran toward the victims, opened fire, and then fled the scene in a Perodua Alza.
Both victims sustained gunshot wounds to the head and body and were pronounced dead at the scene. Their bodies were found approximately five meters from their vehicle.
Kuala Lumpur police are continuing their investigation by collecting additional information from eyewitnesses and reviewing CCTV footage in an effort to identify the suspects.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. — DayakDaily
