KUCHING, June 9: Two individuals were injured following a collision between a car and a pickup truck at Brooke Drive Rejang Park, Sibu, yesterday (June 8).
According to the report by the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre, it was believed that the Vios, which carried two victims, crashed into the rear of the Ford Ranger pickup truck.
The Bomba operations centre received a call regarding the incident at 10.48pm and dispatched firefighters from Bomba Sibu to the scene of the accident.
A man, who was the passenger of the Vios, was trapped in the front seat and was successfully extracted by Bomba.
The victim was conscious and had suffered head and leg injuries, while the driver sustained minor injuries.
The passenger was handed over to personnel from the Ministry of Health (KKM) for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver and three passengers of the Ford Ranger were uninjured. —DayakDaily
