19-jetski convoy rides through rivers, open sea from Dalat to Kuching in 3 days

KUCHING, June 4: A convoy of 19 jetskis have traveled through rivers and the South China Sea from Dalat all the way down to Kuching in the last three days.

The ‘Sarawakku Sayang Jetski Convoy’ started on June 1 when the group of jetski lovers rode from Dalat through Batang Oya, Sungai Kut, Batang Igan, Batang Rajang, out to sea and back to Telaga Air.

On the second day (June 2), the convoy went around Santubong, Bako, Pulau Satang and back to docking in Telaga Air.

They continued to move from Telaga Air to Sematan on June 3 and further down today (June 4) along Sungai Sarawak to Siniawan, Bau following a simple flag-off ceremony at the Kuching Waterfront here.

The flag-off ceremony was officiated by Minister of Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah.

She commended the jetski enthusiasts for their hard work and passion for having to go through many challenges riding on the journey, especially out on the open sea.

The jetski tour was co-organised by the Dalat Jetski Club, Kuching Jetski Club and Sibu Pulau Li Hua Recreation Sports Club. — DayakDaily
