18 evacuated after terrace house collapses in Daro

KUCHING, Aug 2: A total of 18 people were evacuated from their homes after a single storey terrace house collapsed last night in Daro.

The incident, which happened at Tanjung Alan Dua, had damaged four residential units.

Firefighters from Daro station were dispatched to the scene after receiving the emergency alert at 8.26pm.

Although no injuries were reported, one of the units was almost completely destroyed.

Fearing that the structure might collapse again, firefighters told the residents to temporarily evacuate the building. — DayakDaily
