17 localities in Sarawak placed under EMCO

KUCHING, Sept 21: Seventeen localities in Sebauh, Tatau, Bintulu, Lubok Antu, Sri Aman, Pakan, Julau, Betong and Sarikei have been placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today said in Sebauh, Rh Ronnie Ugat Banggah and Rh Unji Pagan are under lockdown from September 19 to 28 while the EMCO for Rh Malang Juni is from September 20 to 29.

Rh Muli Bilap in Tatau and Rh Fabian Jembu Tangi in Bintulu are under EMCO from September 20 to 29.


“The EMCO for Rh Jangan, Rh Burau and Rh Anam in Lubok Antu; Rh Kasol and Rh Daniel in Sri Aman; Rh Hillary Apau and Rh Tukang in Pakan; and Rh Unsan, Rh Angget and Rh Jemmy in Julau is from September 21 to 30.

“The EMCO for Rh Edmund Gunting in Betong and Rh Cherengga in Sarikei is from September 22 to October 1,” it said.

Meanwhile, the EMCO for Rh Stephen in Betong was extended to October 1.

The committee also announced the end of EMCO for 25 localities throughout the State.

They comprise seven localities in Bintulu, five in Sri Aman, three in Julau, two in Lubok Antu, two in Tatau, two in Lundu, two in Betong and one each in Meradong and Pakan. — DayakDaily
