KUCHING, Dec 7: A tragic accident involving two motorcycles and a subcompact vehicle claimed the life of a 16-year-old boy and injured another person along Jalan Kuala Lawas yesterday (Dec 6).
The deceased, identified as Nazirul Firtri Lizam, was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel from the Ministry of Health (MOH).
The other victim, who sustained injuries, was transported to the hospital via ambulance for treatment.
According to a report from Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation center, they received call regarding the incident at 9.15pm and deployed Bomba Lawas to the location.
The report confirmed that the driver of the subcompact vehicle was unharmed in the collision.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading to the accident. — DayakDaily
