KUCHING, July 30: Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar today conferred State honours on 151 recipients during an investiture ceremony, in recognition of their dedicated service, contributions and efforts towards the development and advancement of the State.
According to the Information Department Sarawak, leading the list of recipients were 10 individuals conferred the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak, Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (P.B.K.). The recipients were Ustaz Mohamad Ihsan Haidzir, Ladin Atok, Zul Usup, Ranum Bari, Mohammad Zunica Mohamad Sapi’ee, Temenggong Pi’ee Alwi, Lena Masaat, Khamisah Bohari, Margaret Abat and Jackline August.
A further 20 individuals received the Public Administration Medal, Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (P.P.B.), including Asri Om, Awang Abdul Faridz Awang Yusop, Lau Sie Hung and Mahathir Jokeni, in recognition of their exemplary contributions to the public service and Sarawak’s development.
Twelve recipients were conferred the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak, Ahli Bintang Sarawak (A.B.S.), including Lucas Takip and Bungan Gandel.
Meanwhile, 21 individuals received the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak, Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (A.B.K.), acknowledging their valuable service and contributions to the State.
The ceremony also saw 45 recipients conferred the Public Administration Medal, Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (P.P.T.), while another 43 recipients received the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak, Bentara Bintang Sarawak (B.B.S.).
The investiture ceremony, held with full traditional protocol at the Astana Negeri Sarawak, was attended by the Governor’s wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi; Minister in the Department of the Premier of Sarawak Dato Sri John Sikie Tayai; Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki; Deputy State Secretary (Administration) Datu Felicia Tan Ya Hua; as well as heads of departments and senior officials from both the State and federal governments.— DayakDaily
