150 cycling enthusiasts join Civil Servant Fun Ride

KUCHING, Aug 6: About 150 State and Federal civil servants donned their cycling gear to participate in the Civil Servant Fun Ride organised in conjunction with Jelajah Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia (JAKM) today.

Senior Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, together with Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali and State Secretary Dato Sri Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki also participated in the 12 kilometer cycling routes.

According to Civil Servant Fun Ride organising secretariat Nazri Abdullah, the objective of the programme is to foster the spirits of unity among civil servants.

“They will also be handing over food baskets as donations at the first pit stop near Satok Sports Complex, followed by another handing over of donations and ‘Keluarga Malaysia’ stickers to ‘perahu tambang’ operators in Maksak Care in Square Tower, before ending the ride at Padang Merdeka,” he said.

The participants was flagged-off by Satok assemblyman Datuk Ibrahim Baki at 7am. — DayakDaily
