15-year-old boy feared drown in Sungai Daro

KUCHING, Jan 4: A 15-year-old boy from Kampung Masjid in Daro, is feared to have drowned when taking a bath in Sungai Daro, this afternoon.

According to an initial report from Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre, they received a call regarding the incident at 12.40pm and a team of six firefighters from Daro fire station led by PBK II Imran, was deployed to the scene.

The 15-year-old boy from Kampung Masjid, Daro.

“Based on witness information, the victim, Haziefheild Hardie Abdullah, together with his brother and friends were taking a bath in the river.


“He suddenly submerged into the river and is believed to have drowned,” it said in a statement today.

The statement added, the victim’s mother also informed that the victim suffered from asthma. — DayakDaily
