KUCHING, Aug 28: Daro will soon have a new RM8.5 million modern library equipped with a digital and innovation centre, marking another leap in educational facilities for the local community, with the project expected to be fully completed within 15 months.

According to a TVS news report, Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad said the construction of the modern library will bring significant impact, particularly to the younger generation.

He noted that the facility will serve as a reference and learning hub that can further strengthen the educational standards of students in the district.

“This is one of the government’s efforts to provide added value, particularly in enhancing the educational aspects for students and youth,” he said when speaking at the Launching Ceremony of the Daro Modern Library Construction Project in Daro yesterday (Aug 27).

He added that the library will not only function as a reading space but also as an innovation centre encouraging creative activities and digital technology engagement.

Safiee pointed out that the project is aligned with the government’s aspirations to broaden access to education and knowledge for rural communities.

“With this library, we hope that the younger generation can fully utilise the facility to expand their knowledge and, in turn, contribute to the development of Daro,” he said. — DayakDaily
