Sunway College Kuching’s 25th graduation ceremony was held at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) this morning, attended by 62 graduates and their family members.
In a welcoming address, Sunway College Kuching director Joseph Lim said the students had been taught to be creative and imaginative, to think originally and unconventionally, not to be afraid to push boundaries, and to be respectful and open to new ideas.
“It is my personal belief that possessing these qualities and values can transform individuals into real citizens of the world that can adapt to critical circumstances and provide solutions to humanity’s grand challenges,” he said.
Meanwhile, Sunway Education Group (SEG) Group Registrat Ng Beng Lean urged the graduates to uphold integrity, humility and then only excellence.
“Your values, principles, and character will do much more to determine how you will fare in your life than just your academic credentials,” she added.
