SARIKEI, July 5: A total of 143 new members joined Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Sarikei branch recently.
SUPP Sarikei branch chairman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii urged new members to be sincere in serving and fighting for the party.
He added SUPP always welcomes new members to join the political party and observed that the party’s branch in Repok has been receiving new members in stages since the middle of this year.
“The Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) state government is always concerned with the people’s welfare and needs through various development projects especially in Repok.
“We want to extend our appreciation to Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg for uplifting the living standard of the people in Repok through various development projects,” he said after presenting membership cards to new members at SUPP Repok service centre here yesterday.
Huang, who is also Repok assemblyman, added the people in Repok have been able to live a better life due to the commitment of the GPS state government in implementing people-centric projects. —DayakDaily
