KUCHING, April 5:Â There are 13 locals arrested at a BBQ and Bistro in Sibu for violation of the Entertainment Ordinance 2000.
In a statement today, Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the 13 were arrested for carrying on with their activities beyond the stipulated time.
SDMC has extended Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) throughout Sarawak to April 12, 2021.
The decision was made in view of the situation that Covid-19 positive cases are high in Sarawak.
The last CMCO restriction ended March 30, 2021. Following the new announcement, Sarawak which has been undergoing another two weeks of CMCO only allows all eateries, food and drink outlets to operate until 10pm.
Apart from the 13 individuals arrested in Sibu, SDMC also revealed that the police had issued a total of 12 compounds in Miri District for the violation of Covid-19 preventive standard operating procedure (SOP). — DayakDaily
