12yo Serian boy with cerebral palsy dies of Covid-19, Sarawak death toll now 1,679

KUCHING, March 27: A 12-year-old boy from Serian was one of two new Covid-19 fatalities reported in Sarawak today.

According to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), the boy had cerebral palsy which affected his motor skills.

The second deceased, a man aged 51, passed away at Sibu Hospital on March 25.

He had a medical history of hypertension, dyslipidemia, heart disease and chronic obstructive lung disease.

With this, the Covid-19 death tally in Sarawak now stands at 1,679. — DayakDaily
