1,106 pupils in Sibuti get cash vouchers for school uniforms, education kits

MIRI, Feb 24: A total of 1,106 pupils from 42 primary schools in Sibuti constituency received cash vouchers worth RM120 to buy school uniforms and education kits.

These recipients will be attending secondary school this year in March.


According to Sibuti MP Lukanisman Awang Sauni, the initiative is a continuation from last year’s programmme aimed at helping his constituents.

The presentation of these vouchers have been carried out in three stages since early this year.

During the recent presentation, Lukanisman have also handed over grants to 42 Parents Teachers Association (PTA) within Sibuti constituency worth RM126,000.

In his brief speech after the voucher presentations, Lukanisman also reminded both PTA and the schools’ headmasters to work together to ensure the welfare of students and teachers are taken care of.

“An effective partnership between the PTA and headmasters would ensure that the school’s welfare improves,” he said. — DayakDaily
