KUCHING, May 20: Pupils of Chung Hua Primary Schools No. 1 to 6 here are in for a treat as its management committee will be bringing some 1,000 of them to an early movie screening.
The movie titled ‘Supermom’, locally produced by Bjarne Wong, will have an early screening on May 25.
“The best students from every field in school, including not just academics but also sports and other school activities, will be selected for this movie screening,” Kuching Chung Hua Primary School No. 1-6 Management Committee president Wong Tiong Hock told reporters today.
The movie stars the late Datuk Lai Meng, fondly known as Aunty Lai Meng. It would be mainly in Mandarin.
Tiong Hock said before Lai Meng passed away in May 2018, she wished for her last movie to be produced.
Unfortunately, she passed away before the movie was completed.
Tiong Hock said this early screening would not only to remember Aunty Lai Meng but also to remember and appreciate all mothers in the world in conjunction with this year’s Mothers’ Day celebration.
For those who wish to watch the movie, the nationwide premier would be on May 30 at all GSC Cinemas nationwide. — DayakDaily
