1,000 expected to attend to the Youth Exploration Program 2020 this Saturday

KOTA SAMARAHAN, Jan 9: The Youth Exploration Program 2020 will kickstart its tour in Kota Samarahan this Saturday with more than 1,000 expected to take part.

Ministry of Youth and Sports acting permanent secretary Nancy Jolhi in a press statement today said the event started in Kota Samarahan due to the demand from the youth and its associations in the area.

According to Nancy, apart from providing a platform for the youth to interact among themselves, the event would also organise a “Townhall” session with local leaders to provide opportunities for the youth to meet with their parliamentary and constituency members.


“The Youth Exploration Program 2020 is organised on a yearly basis in order to improve the youth and their association involvement in programs organised by the Sarawak government as platform to showcase their talent and potential.

“At the same time, this program also aim to cultivate a strong spirits of love for the country, unity, responsibility, leadership, career driven, active and volunteerism among the youth,” she said.

Nancy added that more than 1,000 youth from the Samarahan division and the nearby areas expected to attend the program.

The event is organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Sarawak, together with Samarahan Resident Office and Samarahan City Council (MPS). —DayakDaily.
