“The relationships developed through the games represent a valuable form of strategic connectivity, built upon trust, unity, and a shared commitment towards supporting national development.

“GEMAPUTERA is not merely a sporting platform, but an important initiative that strengthens ties among state development institutions, nurtures human capital, and fosters a greater sense of belonging among employees,” he said.

He said this at the closing ceremony, where his speech was delivered by Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Project Coordinator for Regional Development Agencies, Kuching North City Commission, and Islamic Affairs) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, on Saturday (Aug 1).

The biennial gathering served as a platform to celebrate sporting achievements while strengthening strategic relationships, collaboration networks, and the spirit of unity among the State Economic Development Corporation fraternity nationwide.

Meanwhile, the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) secured second place in the event, with the Penang Development Corporation (PDC) finishing third.

The ceremony also witnessed the symbolic handover of the GEMAPUTERA flag from the SEDC to the Johor Corporation (JCORP), which will host the upcoming GEMAPUTERA XIX Games in Johor. — DayakDaily
