KUCHING, Jan 25: Zulhaidah Suboh has been appointed as Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sarawak’s new Women’s chief.
In a press statement issued yesterday (Jan 24), she thanked PKR Women’s chief Fuziah Salleh for the appointment, which took place on Jan 22 during the PKR Women’s Leadership Council (MPWP).
“I would like to convey my thanks, although it is in a short period until the next party election.
“This trust and confidence given will be shouldered with the existing women leadership of the State,” she said.
Zulhaidah, who was PKR’s candidate for the Lambir seat in the 12th Sarawak Election last month, said that through the support of the Sarawak State Leadership Council (MKN) and all parties, they would be able to find the best way to better the party and defend and safeguard the people of Sarawak.
“The services and devotion of Dato Sri Hafsah Harun in shouldering her responsibility as acting PKR Sarawak Women chief are very much appreciated for giving way to women candidates to focus on the 12th Sarawak Election.
“I hope that the women of PKR Sarawak will always stand firm in carrying out the principles of the people’s struggles based on the party’s political values.” — DayakDaily
