KUCHING, June 29: Sarawak witnessed another day with zero new Covid-19 cases reported today.
The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a media statement today confirmed that the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Sarawak remains at 571.
The number of fatalities also stays unchanged.
A total of 17 Covid-19 patients are receiving treatment in hospitals with no patients currently admitted in Intensive Care Units (ICUs) or requiring respiratory support. Seven Covid-19 patients are being treated in Sarawak General Hospital. Sibu Hospital is treating one Covid-19 patient while Bintulu Hospital has nine.
SDMC also revealed that there were 20 new person-under-investigation (PUI) cases while one PUI case is awaiting laboratory test results.
On a related issue, SDMC disclosed there were 60 persons-under-surveillance (PUS) who were checked into hotels across Sarawak for quarantine.
It noted that there is now a total of 928 individuals under quarantine in 13 hotels throughout Sarawak while 16,901 PUS have completed their 14-day quarantine. āDayakDaily
