KUCHING, June 20: Sarawak recorded zero positive cases of Covid-19 today.

The information was revealed by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a press statement.

As such, the committee said the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Sarawak remained at 566 cases.

At the same time, SDMC said Samarahan has turned into a green zone from yellow zone today after there were no positive cases recorded there in the last 14 days.

With Samarahan becoming green zone, there are two districts in Sarawak which are still classified as the yellow zone for Covid-19. They are Kuching and Bintulu.

SDMC added that there are 21 new cases of person-under-investigation (PUI) while one PUI case is awaiting laboratory results.

Apart from that, the committee noted that there were 229 persons who have registered as person-under-surveillance (PUS) today and are undergoing quarantine at the respective hotels throughout Sarawak.

With the additional 229 PUS, the cumulative number of PUS who are undergoing quarantine at hotels today is 742 persons.

The committee asserted that 16,391 PUS have completed their 14 days quarantine today. —DayakDaily
