MIRI, July 19: A 19-year-old youth fell to his death from a fourth floor of a shopping mall on Saturday night (July 18).
The youth was believed to have died on the spot due to serious injuries he sustained following the fall.
A team of police team was immediately rushed to the scene after responding to an alert call on the discovery of the body by members of the public at 8.05pm.
According to Miri Police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah, the body was discovered lying motionlessly in a pool of blood at the parking lot ground behind the building.
“A preliminary check on the scene, we found no criminal elements,” he said.
Lim added that a security guard, who was at his rest period, saw the deceased fell off the building around 7.30pm.
The guard immediately alerted another guard at the floor.
The case has been classified sudden death. The body has been taken to Miri hospital for a post mortem.-DayakDaily
