KUCHING, Jan 31: Construction of Yayasan Sarawak International Secondary School (YSISS) campuses in Bintulu and Miri is currently underway, Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said.
According to him, the YSISS campus in Miri, located in the Beraya, Bekenu area, has already gone through the tender process and is now under construction, while the Bintulu campus is progressing at a similar stage.
“With these developments, Sarawak will have five international schools. Another school is currently in the planning stage,” he said when met by reporters after the opening ceremony of YSISS Kuching (12th Mile) here today.
He said the expansion of YSISS reflects the State government’s commitment to strengthening access to international-standard education for Sarawak students as part of its long-term human capital development strategy. — DayakDaily
